Even after the transformation from farm house to house, the house continued to maintain the typical functions of a building closely linked to agricultural production. After the renovation in 1700 the villa was equipped with a pavilion and a beautiful geometric garden filled with "caves" in which were inserted pastoral scenes, sometimes to cheer the walking gentleman.
